| Cummins 5278 experience ? The Cummins Industrial Tool truck store is going to be in my neighborhood this weekend. Their flyer lists 7"x12" Benchtop Metal Lathe. Frank Hoos on his MiniLathe.com site says this appears to be the same as the old style Homier machine (3/8" tooling?). Does anyone have any experience, good or bad, with this machine? I checked the Cummins website. It lists for $400 and has a $160 dollar shipping charge!!! If this thing is worth while I will gladly drive 20 miles round-trip to save $160 .robotic regards, Tom = = = = = “Parents have too little respect for their children, just as the children have too much for the parents.” - - Ivy Compton-Burnett, English writer |

| My buddy has one. It's essentially the same machine as the HF / MicroMark / Grizzly lathe except that it has an SCR based speed control (Nice) and I think that it comes with a couple of extra accessories that my HF 7x10 did not. Nice little lathe though.

| Thanks Nathan. Per the website the accessories are face plate, steady rest, follower rest, and some basic tooling. Sounds like I'm going to own one real soon .regards, Tom |
