Need Help!- New Member needs Help wtih mini lathe ballscrew mod.

Hello All;

Found this site using bing.com while searching for tailstock alignment jigs. This URL, http://www.cnczone.com/forums/archiv...php/f-165.html led me to the site where I signed up. In the Mini Lathe archive #205 concerns mini lathes and ballscrew modifications. There wasn't a lot of infor just a few entries with no real details, one member Trapper14 stated that several others including himself had done or were doing a ballscrew mod to their mini lathes. I would appreciate very much if anyone who has done one of these mods could provide me twith some quidance drawings, pictures, parts sources, etc.. I am not helpless, I have takes a trade school machinist course although a long time ago 25+ years and really haven't worked as a machinist. I was in the USAF when I took the course and since being forced into retraining have not used a lathe in a long time (1978). I currently have a 7X14" Chinese lathe (very similiar to the Big Dog). Have approval from wife (CFO) to purchase a HF Mini Mill next payday. I appreciate any help that others may provide. I have posted a similar request along with a hello in the clubhouse forum.
