    Ceramic Inserts

    Hi,
i am going to have to cut some ball screws and seeing that they are hardened i would need ceramic inserts right?

where do you get ceramic inserts??

do they work with any indexable lathe tool? or do you have to have a special tool for the insert??

    Thanks Mike

I do beleave you will need special tool holders for these type inserts as if you tighten them too much they shatter. Are you sure you need ceramic inserts? I used to used ceramic inserts in a face mill on cast iron.
