Purchasing advise on King Canada Lathe vs Elite Lathe

Hi folks. I'm getting close to purchasing a new 10x22 lathe, and I'm hoping that someone here has opinions on the two different lathes I'm considering.

The first is from Garant and it is an Elite WSL1022V. I found them originally because someone here purchased one of their lathes and seemed happy with it.

The second lathe is the KC-1022ML from King Canada.

Other than the fact that the Elite has electronic speed control, the only differences on paper are some small dimension differences. They are close to being identical in price as well.

I don't know a lot about either company and their reputations, so if people have comments on general fit and finish of lathes from either company, I'd like to hear them. Also if there are suggestions for alternatives, please let me know (I've already discounted the C6 and BusyBee 10x18.)

    Thanks
    Chris
