CR, thank you for pushing me in the right direction.
The G540 looks like a great controller, but I couldn't seem to find the Kelling 270 motors on their site. This is with the assumption that "270" is a model number of sorts.
I apologize... I know nothing about this stuff.
Edit: I see that 270 refers to oz-in of torque. Do all the 270 motors have dual shafts and 4 wires? I only saw one 270 motor with dual shafts and I didn't notice any reference to the number of wires.
Do most people run Mach3 as the
CNC control software? Is the
CAD,
CAM work usually done on the same computer?
When converting to
CNC, is it common to replace the lead screw and cross slide screw with new hardware due to backlash?
How has the G540 been housed/mounted in the past?
