Emco Compact 5 quadrture encoder

Hi all,

Just got a Emco Compact 5 with retrofitted steppers and controller from (www.eazicnc.co.uk) M641 + STEP1's

Problem is things arn't working properly, I have contacted eazicnc and hopefully they will advise on my problems, whilst I was looking for the problem I noticed this machine has a quadrature encoder as standard but I think it is possibly damaged due to being incorectly connected to the M641 board, does anyone have one of the machines and can advise on what wires does what on this encoder? from what I can see there will be a + & - then 2 x encoder outputs, there is four wires but I don't know which is which.

Also does anyone know where to get a replacment if it is found to be faulty?
