so far i have been very pleased with the tool i bought from shars
I'm looking to buy a boring & turning tool set. Looking for a set that has the indexable tips. I'm running a 9 x 20 lathe and need tools that will last a little longer then the pre ground tools.
Now the other day I was reading a machinist magazine and saw a company that makes these tools and were at an affordable cost. Any thoughts or suggestions ??

I've used tools from Shars, Cdco, and Enco (mostly from Enco since usually have free shipping for orders over $50; $25 this month). Have been pleased with all. I look for best pricing as all seem to have basically same tools. I use almost all index inserts. Find can get as good finish as with HSS. Good Luck.
Current Enco code is RFS25 and is effective thru Dec. 31.
Much appreciated -
Happy Holidays-

I'm looking to replace all of my tooling with insertable tips. Does anyone have a link to a good set of boring bars & turning tools that's not crazy in price ?
