Very cool. I just finished making the Knurling tool posted over at LittleMachineshop.com as my first "real" machining exercise. I'll try to snap a picture of it I think that it turned out pretty good considering that it's the first metal thing I ever made.

The tool is centered with the tool post and the cross slide for vertical and horizontal adjustment. Also when you tighten it up it will correct and place itself around the round bar. Very easy to use. I kept it on my original toolpost and not on the QTP. I had to place a 2 3/4" x 1/2" x 1/8" spacer under the knurler tool to raise it up to center. That can be fixed by using a QTP or bolting it up to the aluminum block like the author did.

In my pics, I did not adjust it 100%, the wheels are just a lttle over the center point. One turn on the cross slide and it would have been corrected. Just for picture taking.

It works great.

--- Updated my Pc camera drivers, now the pics are bigger and clearer. Not bad for a cheesy $30 Intel Pc camera.

I Own a Micro-Mark 7x14 Version #82710 with Digital Readouts so it can do mm or SAE. My first lathe, and am happy with my purchase. I did want a JET lathe, but that was too big.

******Update*******

Just a quick mod to the knurler.

Drill an extra set of holes closer to the center hole so u can screw the upper and lower pieces closer to the center so they wont have a rediculous angle when you knurl small round like 1/4". This way you will have two settings, one for over 3/4" and one for below. 1/4" closer to the center hole is good.
