Can you do threading on the mini lathes? I am considering buying one of the 3 in 1 machines from harbor freight in about a month and was wondering if you can do it using these machines. I'm really a newbie here and Ineed some help with what is really posssible here. Thanks |

| Just to let ya know I originally too planned to get one of those 3 in 1 machines but after doing much research on this forum and others, seen that there was a lot of criticism of the 3 in 1, the majority(including myself) believe a seperate mill and lathe is the way to go, and yes the mini lathes do threading. Before plopping any money down, I would try to visualize the parts that you plan to make in the future and then get machines that will do that for ya, if your just noodling around then a 3 in 1 is probably not a bad deal. Research, research figure what will work best for your needs. |
