It runs and seems to work. I have the original manual if any one else needs one. I have the original tool post and one 1/4"X1/4" cutter. I think this is a 6" lathe. I need any info. like year of manufacture.
Need 5/16 wide X 1/2" tall, right, left & straight, tool holders and 1/4"X1/4" cutters and many other things that I'm not aware of yet. :-).

Hi cropduster,
I'm new to the site but looking for any help re 6"Atlas lathes. I would appreciate if you could scan & e-mail me a copy of the manual.
I have quite a collection of machine parts as I acquired 3 lathes (in boxes). One I have re-built (Southbend 10) & have parts for a Southbend 9. I am now trying to make sense of all the bits that came in a box for the 6" Atlas for my son.
On the Atlas the only info I have is stamped on the bed & is M3956.
The model 109 Lathe is not made by Atlas. It was made by the AA (Pronounced 'Double A') Dunlap Company While similar in size to the Atlas made machine there are no other similarities or parts interchangeability. The 109 was designed to be a cheap machine. There are a couple of Yahoo groups dedicated to the model 109 series of lathes.

No good deed goes unpunished.
Our club has a 6" Atlas lathe with lots of accessories but no manual. If someone can copy a manual for us I'd really appreciate it
Thanks,
Cliff.
You can get the nicely copied manuals for the Atlas 101 on FeeBay for around $10 shipped.
