    Edelstaal Machinex Lathe opinions

    What do you guys think of these lathes compared to one of the 7 X 10 lathes? As far making small parts goes...

    for the most part its a very cheap looking peice of machine. Not much there. I would venture to say that a regular 7x lathe would do better than that by quite a bit.

    Thanx I,m lookin for a lathe that I can make like 4" dia. milling hand wheels, will a 7 X 10 do that?

    probably could, but it wouldnt be the best machine for the project. I bet it would be better than the one on ebay. The 7x would need a larger chuck to grip that material.

    I dont know if homier carries it anymore, but they have always had the best price on that lathe. They also have the 12" version of it.
