carbide parting tool for mini lathe?

does anyone make a carbide parting tool for the mini lathe? i've really got a 9x20 that uses a QCTP and it uses the same 1/2 parting tool as the mini. i would like to use a parting tool with a carbide insert, however i can't seem to find one.

Try looking for brazed tooling. Just about every supplier that sells parting tools has brazed carbide 1/2" blades.

This link has them, among a lot of other places.

I've got one that Aloris makes to fit my AXA series QCTP. Its called a "No. 71". It uses inserts and I love it. You can read a bit about it here:

I got mine from Enco I think. Wasn't cheap, but its indestructable, works great, and the inserts are cheap.

    Best,
