    hello everybody,

So i want to develop new control system for mini lathe machine (SpectraLIGHT 0400 Turning Center) which can send the data from PC to this machine using parallel port.

can anyone help me in developing the control system using C programming or Visual Basic programming.

where can i find the existing software which can control SpectraLIGHT 0400 Turning Center?

You don't need to make a new control system. Mach3 software will do what you want.
ArtSoft USA - Home of Mach3 and LazyCam
But you will need to add a breakout board, and maybe new stepper drivers, so that the lathe can connect to the parallel port.

But there is an easier way.

The Spectralight was made by Intellitek.
    Intelitek

Email Intellitek. They are nice people. They have been very helpful to me when I was working on one of their mills.

They can give you the software, and can probably sell you a new interface card. That is easier than converting the lathe to use Mach3.

    Good luck!

Oops. A spammer replied to the thread with the usual "We sell small lathe meet your needs please see my website." spam. That bumped the thread up to the top, and so I replied to it. I didn't think to check the date of the original post.

Looks like the admins took care of the spam post, leaving me looking like a fool.

Aaaah! I was wondering if you had done a search and just made a reply to one of the topics you found. Don't know what you could have been looking for though.

Now I feel bad about pointing it out Haha

Lets let this thing die in peace

Let it die? In our desire to help others we dont look at the thread date. I have done this more than once too. If the poor person on the other end was waiting for an answer, they have most likely given up the pursuit of CNC anything!

By all means! Do post replies to topics that has not been checked for the past 5 years, but don't expect replies from the OP I won't stop you, but don't get upset if I point it out to you. I'm only trying to help, so that you don't spend more time trying to help someone who might not be there to receive your help.

PS. Does this topic have so much value that we can't let it fall back down to where it came from? After all, it was not someone who was seeking new information, it was just a spam bot.
