wabeco cnc lathe

Hi everyone, My name is Matt. I am new to the site and im a novice machinist. I recently bought a wabeco d3000e cnc lathe. Its about 12 yrs old, and comes with software called pc lathe 3.0. i cant seem to find much info on the web. does anyone know much about these machines and software? or if software can be changed/updated? any help would be great.

I looked at this lathe on Lathes uk and its just a standard mini lathe made in Germany,I guess the CNC was added by someone at sometime?

Does the software install on a pc? if so then Mach3 will work with the lathe or any other software for lathe work

I personally have no experience of this software.

I use the HSE software it works well although it has it quirks. It's my understanding the hardware is made in such a way you can't update the software with anyone else's. HSE or Matthais Potoff has disappeared so updates may be difficult.
