Which is better?

Taig is so much cheaper. However to get it CNC you seem to need to modify yourself. Taig also seem kinda DIY looking in that they use some kind of lawn mower motor (which works too) to drive a pulley system.

Sherline is much more expensive but offers CNC ready. Seems more consumer grade.

Which is better and is it hard to turn the taig into a CNC? I only have access to a mill right now so I can turn anything to be used in the retrofit for the lathe CNC.
