tool post mods

i have one of the chester mini lathe which has the standard mini lathe quick change system which is not that good i was think of going for something better.

i was thinking of going for something like this



i plan to remove the compound slide to increase rigidity and it not being required due to it being cnc'd. any thought and advice?

I use a phase II AXA wedge type on my 7X CNC and am very happy with it.

I got one of thease not long ago, I got it from Arc euro trade as they sell the toolpost and the holders seperate so u can buy only the holders you need. the knurling holder you couldnt realy use on a minilathe and the parting holder would not be needed if your useing the Glanze parting system. Im hopeing to use the boreing bar holders to hold center drills and other smallish drillbits so i can do cnc drilling operations from the toolpost.
