Smithy 1220LTD lathe (center drill off ceter issue)
Hey Guys.

I recently bought a Bolton, supposely it a clone of the Smithy 1220LTD. Everything seem to be ok, but today I try some center drilling on the lathe. I have a .238 bit and I need to drill a 6mm shaft. When I use my drill press, the hole is prefect 6m and fit on a 6mm shaft snug. But on the lathe, the hole is probably 6.10mm, causing slop when I put over the motor shaft....

From what I can tell, the chuck is running center and smooth, I put on nice steel rod and you can't even see it spinning.

What do I adjust for how to fix this? How exactly do I get the tail stock to perfectly line up?
