Cool! I have mounted a new 1/2" x 10 X axis leadscrew into ball bearings on mine and have a new leadscrew with a no-backlash plastic nut for the Y axis to replace the old "V" threaded one. Today I machined a chunk of 3" round 4140 to be the new "tool-post holder" since I've removed the compound. This will bolt directly to the cross-slide and the stock tool-post/holder will sit atop it. Someday I will figure out how to hook something (solenoid, motor, etc.) up to it to rotate different cutters into position. Everything I plan on doing will have a primary goal of vibration dampening and rigidity...
