    Default 7x10 lathe help

Hi I have a harbor freight 7x10 lathe I bought it to make a dedicated tool out of it anyways I want to figure out how to mount a 2in x 7in round disk for machining tube bending dies, I know that the head stock can't take that kind of load so what if. I were to make an aluminum plate with bearing that mounts in tail stock and clamp up to disk for more support, would that work? Also any ideas on how to get more swing? I am making a custom tool for doing a radius cut.
    Thanks
    Richard

You will probably have trouble with stock that size. Is it 2" round and 10" long or the other way around? If it's 10" long you will have trouble fitting the tail stock. You will definitely need to use the outside jaws. If it's 10" round, it will be too wide for the swing.
