When using constant surface speed (G96) how does one limit the max spindle speed? When using the conversational programming it gives you a selection of setting the surface speed and a max spindle speed but what about if you are facing a part off manually or you write a little mdi program for something and want to use CSS but you want to set a max rpm? Thanks Joe |

| To clamp the spindle speed while using constant surface speed, you can type in G50 S#### (where S#### is the speed at which you do not want to go above) This statement is only effective while in G96 mode (constant surface speed). |
