How do I get to the tool change macro for my P1 ? I need to check it because my Tchanger is not functioning.

The tool change macro is found under the RAM directory on the control. Most likely B:\RAM.

Yes, I can see a file 09020 would that be the macro for the tool changer? If so How do I open up that file? or send it to the floppy?. The problem I am having is that my tool changer is not functioning under and M6 command. There are 2 things it will not do and that is homing the tool changer and spindle orient. M20&M19

Thanks john

John,
The tool change macro would not affect a M20 or M19. These M codes are found in the tool change macro however. Try commanding the M codes separately to see what happens. It may possible that the control already thinks your tool changer is at home and/or the spindle is oriented. Look at the diag on the control to help you with this.

I have tried the M codes individually in MDI and the only 2 that will not do anything is M20 and M19. M20 should rotate Tchanger till it sees the prox switch for home. It does not do this. Also on my tchange page I have CW and CCW but no home button. M19 will only rotate spindle if you had a RPM programmed into it before but then it will spin at that RPM and not stop. That is why in the tool change macro there is S0M05 before M19. I bought this machine used and it seems someone has been messing with it. I have everthing working but the Tchanger and am stumped at this point.

Thanks John
