I need help troubleshooting my coolant pump an a rw15 thats a little over one year old. For the past 3 or 4 months the breaker for the coolant pump has been tripping . It started out just doing once every few days, when it first happened I called the manufacturer and they directed me to which breaker to reset , about a month ago it started tripping at least once a day . Now it trips after 20-30 minutes of operation , the pump is very warm to the touch and it takes about an hour to cool off enough to be reset. I have pulled the pump , back flushed it and all the coolant lines, pulled the coolant tank apart and completly washed it out so i dont believe chips or clogging of any sort could be the probelm. How warm should the pump be after a few hours of operation ? Should I be looking at the pump as the culprit or the breaker ? Any thoughts on where or what I should look at to get back up and running? Thanks for any help or advice |

| I think the pump is just a small Graymills unit . I would pull the pump and take it to a moter shop and have the start capacitor checked out . I have had one go out on my moter , and they will cause the moter to jus sit there and buzz & get hot . A weak one will make the motor start slow . Check to see if it comes on quickly when someone hits the flood button . The capacitor is a special small unit , and motor shops generally have the larger round can type . But you can tape them to the cover if you need to get going in a pinch . |

| If you have isolated the problem as the motor itself , then the good news is that the more expensive parts inside the machine are probably OK . At least you can take out the pump and take it to a motor shop for further testing. On my partner 1 the pump is plugged in to a small 120V plug hanging in the back . You could do a quick test by plugging anything with a motor ( a fan perhaps ) The coolant switch wont know the difference |
