We have VM machining centers with both Centurion 6 and 7 controls. When we generate code from our CAM system we sometimes end up with very large arcs in the programs. These arcs DO NOT show in our cam simulation. Sometimes it can be traced to G2's being swapped out for G3's. And then sometimes it will only happen when we use a D offset on the control. So it has been hard to pin down, one time it appears to be the cam system and sometimes it appears to be the control. Has anyone ever expierienced this? We seem to think that the out put from both the control and the cam system need to be in "synch" with each other. We use the same cam system with other controls with absolutly no similar issues. Thanks! |
