Need Help!- BR-50 series B

i have a br-50 here that wont boot up the cnc it goes through the dos boot up sequence and gets to c:\ram\cnc\cnc and says bad command or file name and stops it says to power down to restart cnc and this obviousley doesnt work. not having much luck with the service techs getting back to me in timely manner. any suggestions?
UPDATE: talked to service people and some how the cnc software dsappeared they are coming out tommorow to re-install sounds like more money than i want to spend

What year is your machine and has this ever happened before? Let us know what happens?

the machine is a 1999 with a cent 6 control on it. the repair guy was here with some newer cnc sofware and installed it. the machine now works and he said he believes that someone accedentally deleted the old software because we did find 2 part program files in the cnc dir. dont know how or who did it but the machine is running now.
and no this never happened before.

Thanks for posting the follow BP. It is always helpful to store stuff like this away in the gray matter for future reference. Sorry to hear of your trouble but it sounds like the fix was fairly simple. Hope it wasn't too expensive.
