Well, I am visiting the old xz plane radius problem again. Hopefully you all can give me some insight. The conversational program is attached(you will have to drop the extensions to run in sls software) – basically what I need to do is drag the tool through a slot then arc down into a hole forming a radius into the hole from the slot. The program is simple until I introduce cutter comp. This will be done with a full radius tool .030 in diameter (I am actually using a sintered diamond tool on hard fired ceramic) I will be taking this in .001 passes until the proper depth is achieved. Any help with the program is appreciated. I am always fighting this xz plane radius so any general thoughts are appreciated as well. The machine is a VK-3 with Cent. 6 control. | yep G18 good to go. I edited the attached files to beeter show what I am doing Iam not convinced this control can do this move. When I introduce CC int othe program the display in verify shows chamfer rather than a radius. Even if i change the radius to something quite larger,the display will show an angle rather than a radius. -W/cc off all looks good. What gives? |
