Not sure if the belt is slipping or not. But its the only explanation I can come up with. Running a 2 flute 1" indexable in steel, good inserts. I cant run it harder than .120 depth, full diameter (slot) at 2500 rpm, and 15 ipm? Running the spindle faster, it just pulls down sooner. It works for what its doing, but Id like to run harder. Both the manual, and the plate on the motor say 5hp. It is running on a professionally built and balanced phase converter. Heck if it was running on single phase it would still be 3hp or better. Ive run 3/4 indexables .250 depth on older 2-3hp trees in steel and they cruise right though, so only thing I can think is belts? |

| I dont know if I could hear the belt with the indexable going I can barely heard the spindle slow. But Im not sure if Im hearing the spindle slow, or the motor slow. |
