I need advice

Hello, everyone
My department at work has been given a Milltronics CNC Machining Center, I can't think of the model # right now but it has the Centurion 6 control.
We are using it right now to cut test coupons from steel pipe for the lab.
These programs were already installed on the machine when we got it,,I have learned just enough to modify these conversational programs slightly.
We have always had Hurco machines and I can program them very well in conversational.
Is the conversational programming on the milltronics Poor?
Do I just need training or a book to pick it up?
Do I need to learn g code?
Do we need to buy some software interface for G code?
Any advice would be very much appreciated!!!

Don,
One of the biggest advantages to the Milltronics control is the conversational programming. Milltronics does offer programming manuals as well as training at the factory. The control is capable of programming it in G/M code as well. You should not have to buy an interface to program the machine is text.

You can use Gcode or parametrics as well

Hi, thanks for the advice.
The machine we have is the RH 20, It came with 1 book that tried to cover conversational, g code, and parametric programming without going into any detail about any of them.
All it has been good for is to confuse me.
The Hurco programming manuals I'm used to have been easy to learn from.
"I looked at one of the program examples you posted mholden,, that looks like what I need"
Does anyone know the name of the manual from milltronics that I would need?
My bosses will order it for me but they won't spend more than a minute looking for it,,lol
