MILLTRONICS ML-15/40- Anybody own one?

Does anyone here own, or have experience with a MILLTRONICS ML-15/40, Partner CNC Lathe? I am fairly new to CNC, and I am looking to purchase a CNC/ Manual type lathe for semi - production work, prototyping, etc.

I would appreciate any opinions based upon experience with this or similar Milltronic's machines. Thanks very much! Joe

I Own A Ml17 40 And Do Prototypes And Short Run Production.
Good Solid Machine.
The Ml15 Might Be A Little Light, But That Depends On What You Want To Do With It.

I Have An Ml 20-60 With Tool Turret, The Ability To Change Chucks On The D1-8 Spindle Makes It The Best Choice For One Offs, And Short Run Production. I Use A 5c Collet Chuck, 10" 6 Jaw, 12" 3 Jaw And 16" 4 Jaw Oil Country Chuck. If You Buy Machine Used Call Milltronics To Get Current Software And If Minnesota Is Not Out Of Reach To Drive Or Fly, Going To Their School Will Absolutly Be The Best Money You Will Ever Spend........
The Centurion Control Is By Far The Easiest Print To Part Control You Will Ever Use And You Can Store Thousands Of Programs. The New Software Has Really Neet Thead Chasing Programs To Repair Damaged Parts. When I Worked For Alcoa In Central Engeneering We Had 7 Different Controls And They Were All G Code, Except For Mazak, The Seimens, Heidenhein, Haas, Mitsubishi M3 And M5 And Fanuc Can Not Stand In The Shadow Of A Milltronics Control. You Will Not Go Wrong. Good Luck With Your New Machine.

Thanks for the replies!

Thanks very much for your replies gentlemen. The Milltronics ML series lathes seem like a better setup than a Haas TL-1. I like the solid v -ways as opposed to linear ways. I've read a number of posts about the Haas tailstocks not staying centered do to shake in the ways or something to that effect. To my way of thinking, the old fashioned V-ways are bound to be more solid and accurate.

I'm going to try to find a used, like new ML 15 if possible, or something very similar. Thanks again! Joe
