Guys, How do I change the display to show the part profile instead of the cutter path? I've looked around in setup and in the manual, but I can't find it. Surely, that is an option somewhere in the controller. Thanks in advance. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Rob in Ohio |

| I'm at home but on my cent 5 and 7 it is when you verify the program there should be a soft key right before you hit F1 start... I can't look at the screen but it goes something like: 1. verify (F9?) 2. old (F2) and type in prgm number or menu (F7??) and select from list 3. (pick one of three options now, F3-F5 maybe?? part / path or both I think are the names... You want part and it will probably show up as yellowish lines after step four...) 4. start F1 5. softkey (dry) to speed through it... If you want to do this during cutting, I'm not sure you even can... BTW, if this isn't what you were actually asking or if I had the names or F keys wrong, just say so and I'll check when I get to my shop tonight, roughly 5:30 est~ Hope this helped!!

| CJ,
I just thought that there has to be a way to change the display. After all, even Prototrak's have that feature. |

| You should suggest it to the Milltronics guys... I've had pretty good luck getting things into future software by suggesting things... They probably won't do anything for cent 7 or before but it doesn't hurt to ask... BTW: I'm at work and no, I didn't see a way to toggle between the two or softkey it before running the program, I'm with you though, it is helpful at times unless you're using CAM software, then it would be pointless~ (Just because you're not programming a part with the G-code, you're programming tool path...) In conversational programming though, it does make visualization much easier on certain parts...

| Hi guys I think if you run verify and do "part", not path or both first: escape back to run when you run the part look for graphics , auto you should see the outline of the part as you run it. Try this on a simple part first , only you can get confussed on how to get back to "run" so you can halt run if you have problems, Hope this helps. |

| Hi I checked at work today, and found out I was wrong . You only get the tool path when you run the part. Sorry for any grief this may have caused anyone. There still may be a param. to change this but I don't know what it might be. But if you verify "Part" this will tell you the same thing I think. I like to verify in "both" because I have caught small mistakes that might not show up if you run "part" and "path " seperatly. |
