Just wanted to let all my Milltronics / CNCzone friends know my company has expanded!! Due to a scheduling snafu, our first DIY employee aka "The big E" was shipped four days early on August 3rd at 6:28 during second shift. He came in at 20 inches+ but by the next day had settled into 19.172" +/- .032" Fit and finish were on spec with no engineering changes needed at this time. Final cost came in dramatically under quote due to new insurance unexpectedly picking up the entire tab!! All equipment used in making "The big E" are undergoing a 6 week overhaul to ensure proper function for our next DIY project. (Editors note: due to a last minute, minor oversight it was noted the shipping container was slightly undersized and ripped during transit, please advise your shipping company of this potential problem ahead of time to ensure timely delivery.) If anyone is looking to build their own DIY employees please feel free to contact me for blueprints and complete bill of materials. Our DIY employee is NOT for sale but built strictly as a prototype to explore the feasibility of future projects. Unfortunately I was informed AFTER taking delivery of said DIY employee, his estimated installation time is roughly 16 years longer than I had anticipated.......crap!! BTW, we are affectionately calling "The big E," Everett Dewayne Stender until a more marketable moniker can be developed! Disclaimer: No animals were hurt in the posting of this message...

| Wow....what a neat way to introduce a new machine. It's almost like you are talking about a baby. But hey, keep it oiled, and it will last for a long time! Congrats! I'm way down the road of life from where you are and want to tell you to enjoy all the fouled plugs you have now, because it won't be but a blink and you will miss them! Mike

| Everett Dewayne Stender My parents loved my name and gave it to me with the best of intent. However, I"d never name my kid what my parents named me. Why? Kids with "regular" names can/will make fun of it. In this case, Ed, E.D. or perhaps Wayne might be the default names your son may end up taking on. I"m sure you and/or your wife will find some cute, horribly embarrasing name to call him as well - that seems to come with parenthood. Your parents did it to you, now it is your turn to pass/carry on the tradition..... Congratulations. I hope he grows up to be smart, healthy, creative (like the old man) and devoid of bad habbits and posess only a few harmless alficitons like an interest in CNC and/or race cars. Yeah, right.... |

| Actually my wife said to me one day, "Honey, I like the older names like Elliot or Everett..." I laughed because I knew she didn't realize my grandpas name wasn't really Bud but actually Everett. My dads middle name is Everett and my other grandpas maternal side has the surname Everett. I really loved my grandpas so I thought it would be kinda cool to pass their names along... Anyhow, I'm with you, Everett is a little archaic and we'll most likely be calling him Bud or Buddy just like his great grandpa. As for the Dewayne instead of Duane, it was my other gramps first name. Sorta figured since we used one, we kinda had to use the other too... Now if we have another boy, lol, all we have left is Elmer John Stender to take care of my wifes side!! Everett and Elmer....lol.....yeeeeikes!!BTW: NC, what's your first name?? I was Carl Barl the Fender Bender in elementary school... Who were you??

I gather this little fella is your first. I distinctly remember the birth of our first child a day before I had a examination scheduled for the course in physics I was taking; this was to be a one on one interview with the professor not a written exam. I walked in, announced the birth and said if you expect to get any sensible answers out of me you are wrong. We spent 30 minutes talking about his 6 month infant and I gained a second class for the course. Kids are so much work but at the same time so much fun you don't notice the work. Until thirty years later when the grand kids come along you wonder how you survived.
