| Milltronics support Last friday i started my vk5 mill to do a job, booted normally, when i hit the reset, bam, shut down. it blew the fuse on the main transformer. replaced it and popped it again. because it was late, i e-mailed milltronics service the problem. By the time i got home and checked my mail there was a response from Mark Holden telling me it probably was the main bridge rectifier. made sense, so monday morning i checked, and yes, it was shorted. Bought a pair of higher rated units on e-bay for $9.68 including shipping, installed one today, and that was it. I couldn't ask for better response time, and the price sure is right. I also have an ml14 lathe, and a new rw15 with pkg.a,b,c,d, (great little/big machine). Thanks Mark. |

| i agree, we have 4 vm machines and if i ever do have a problem help is just a phone call away. we bought our first cnc lathe from Omni-Turn, and had nothing but problems with it. had to replace 4 different circuit boards the first year and had the main cable for the spindle drive grounding out against the encoder housing. anyways the support that we received from Omni-Turn was piss poor to say the least. wish we would have checked into milltronics a little more. |
