Been having an ongoing problem with the Dorian turret on this machine. We replaced the encoder and have the same issues. The diagnostic screen shows the encoder functions properly, but the machine consistently throws and encoder error. So we are thinking it is the wiring. We looked into replacing the turret with the much better Pragatti like the other machine, but that is around $15K. And Milltronics wants over $2K just for the Dorian encoder cable, that they won't sell without the encoder. Confusing
So what I need to know is what kind of connector is on the control end of the cable? And what kind of pins does it use? Also what tool releases the pins from the connector? My plan is to pull the connector apart and run a new cable over to the turret in hopes of finding out if it is the cable or the control.
Thanks
Cory

What error are you getting? as in what is displayed in the red message box in the upper right corner of the screen? replacing the "new encoders" in the dirian is a little tricky, they have to be "programmed". Some older Dorian tables also had a "pocket count" mod on them, Does yours?

Right after I hit submit, I realized that we replace the first encoder due to this error.

Here are pics of the connector, sorry for the delay I got busy.

Here is a link to a catalog page for that connector:
Allied Electronics - Catalog

The pins are here:

The removal tool should be in the electrical panel, if it isn't, you can get it and the crimping tool here:
