yes , I'm back on this thing I could use a secound mill running , so , I tought before I scrap this thing I'd give it some more looking into When using the jog mode the x axis work fine . but in MDI and hand wheel also running a simple circle program I'll get a jump when going from - to + I checked the ball screw thrust washer , it seems to be tight that the ball screw can't move laterally , only concentrically . Could this be a servo card (amp) , reverse polarity from wirering up the machine , incoder , or something else ? Steve

Did you check to see what you have in the parameters for backlash? If it's too large, i.e. more than you have backlash in the screw to nut, then you would get a jump like you describe. Mine had none because we replaced the computer and had to input the parameters by hand, so once I got it running I checked for backlash with an indicator and then added the amount in to that parameter, now I can traverse an axis change without any blips in the surface.

I'll recheck the parameters I had to put them back in manually too . Could be I entered it wrong , wouldnt be the 1st . I had to put a inverter in mine to be able to run on single phase . so I got some wireing issue too work out too do to half azz wiring diagrams and missing diagrams mostly . 1 of the guys here sent me a set (thank you ) I'm just stumped on the unregulated 24V P/S as to where the dark blue wire goes coming out of it from the buss fuse . I was poping the resister at the 2 caps going to ground I think do too wire in wrong place Steve
