Hey Guys, first post,I'm a somewhat of a newbe at CNC,anyway I've got me and old 3 axis CNC Milltronics Partner 3, Model D Milling Machine,it has a Cat40
Spindle ,3 phase 5hp Motor,Ferrite Brushed Servo motors Type MT30M4-38.
It Seems to be in pretty good shape, the problem is this, I have never seen it run, when I fired it up for the first time,The bios batt. was dead,I changed that(a serious pain in the rump)it keeps the date and time now,but the keyboard does not have enough keys to put the info back in the bios, opened it up behind keyboard found and old AT style plug (the 9 pin female plug)got some adpaptors pluged it in a new ps/2 keyboard, nothing, got a keyboard off ebay with the correct plug, still nothing(could be a bad keyboard no way to test it,that I know of) it has a old cat 900 board for a MB,a centron v control
I called Milltronics, they said for $2100. I could send them the controller and they would put a new MB and some chips and update me to Centrion 6, The question I have is should I opt for that,or change the controller out for something like camsoft, or flashcut or gecko drive,or something? I have about 5 grand to spend on it,all the info I could get would be Most Appeceated
Thanks
