We have a mb20 with a cent 6 controller, used mainly for toolroom use, but we are running a production job that i would like to have a parts counter or cycle counter. So we can know how many parts have been ran. I figured that I could do this by putting misc event in with p values p1=p1+4 as we are running a 4 station fixture. But I dont know how to display this value on the screen, is there a M code to display something on the screen like when it displays the tool change. Or am i going about this the wrong way? is there a simpler way to log and display cycle counts? |

| Newer software versions include a parts counter but you can use your idea to do the same thing. Put in the MISC event as you have described and also put in a MISC event like this: PRINT[COUNT IS #1] Look in the upper left corner of the display under the RunTime clock to see it. Be aware that you have to zero Parameter 1 (or whichever of the first 99 parameter numbers you use) yourself and that Verifying the program will add to the count. Put the MISC events at the end of the program so that halting the program in the middle won't also add to the count. |
