Sorry, while the control does use the marker pulse on the spindle encoder to start the carriage moving for threading and tapping, those spindle invertors don't support orient positioning.
Is there a spindle orient command for my ML15 lathe.?
It would speed things up a lot if I could get the chuck key hole to always stop at the same location .
Especially when the machine is in the low gear range , it is a bit of work to rotate the chuck by hand .
If the spindle can synchronize with the feed screw for tapping and external threading , it seems that a spindle orient should be a simple thing to program .
Thanks

I have a 2001 ML 20, took it back to have the turret upgraded to Pragatti in 2006. and the spindle orient card was an option. At that time $ 1,200.00 dollars just as well been a Million, so I elected to just keep tugging on the chuck. Buying a new machine today, I would get every availabe option. With the age of our machines and a drive being a computer for motors, it might be better to change your drive out instead of trying to find a card. If you have 3 phase power, get the re-gen drive and it will use the high inertia energy of the spindle coming to a stop to back feed your supply power line instead of burning the power in the braking resistors and actually save money on power. havn't seen one that will re-gen on single phase like my shop.
Good Luck
