I have the ML15 up and running , and am finally making parts .
I noticed that the memory does not assign the correct date to the programs as I write them , and the screen is not filling up the full monitor .
Someone I trust told me that this is an indication that the memory battery is dead , and that this battery is soldered directly to a circuit board .
This is a 10 year old Cent 6 control .
What the heck kind of engineering is this ?
I will not risk causing damage by trying to unsolder the damn thing , but am just asking if anyone else has run into this situation and any possible fixes .

Thanks
Bob
