1990 Partner IV and Centurion IV Problem!

I am looking at a parnter IV that the battery backup has died. Looking for info on resting the parameters? Is it hard? Can I do it with a PC? Does anyone have the parameters?

I have the parameters on paper and on my pc. It's very easy. Email at benjamincolby@centurytel.net and I can help you out.

Your battery for holding the parameters in memory is found at McMaster-Carr
part # 6951K12 3.6volt "D" size.

The ERROR 4 is telling you that your servo drives are not activated, ie.
turned on.
I'm assuming you solved your parameter(s) problem? So you turn on the machine
and it wants to GRID (go home on all 3 axis). You must depress the RESET button to turn on the servos. Once the servos are on you can grid the machine.
If the servos are not on you will get an ERROR 4, whenever you try axis movement of any kind, ie. GRID, MDI, JOG, Handwheel.

If the servos don't turn on, you have another problem which could be a number of things, and I'll need more info.

Ben
