    Mikini 1610L Current pricing???

Can someone tell me what the current pricing is for the 1610L? I am considering selling mine and am trying to find a starting point for pricing. Maybe some of you could give me a suggested asking price? It is the original version with the following options: integrated pc, touchscreen monitor, R8 tooling package, and the 4th axis.

For those looking for an opinion of the machine, it works great. I just don't use it much anymore. May decide to keep it, if the value has decreased too much. If I do sell, I will use the money to purchase a CNC router table.

Also, for anyone considering the 1610L that would like to see one in person, I am located near Athens, GA. You are welcome to drop by anytime.

    Phillip

I believe for the basic machine new without the controller or anything is $11,999 for 2011. The integrated controller is $1500, the 4th axis is $2000, touchscreen monitor is $500, and the tooling package is $500. I doubt it has depreciated much simply because of the lack of used machines for sale, you have supply on your side and Phil tells me the demand in going up so you have that too.

    Thanks for the speedy reply.

If anyone is interested in making a serious offer, let me know. My dad bought a 1610L for his shop. Turned out his employees were not CNC ready. They still use the manual mill 90% of the time. So, there maybe another used machine on the market if there is interest.

    Thanks again for your input,

    Phillip

I'd be interested in the 4th axis if the price is right...

Maybe the vise as well, or swap for one of mine. I am not fond of how mine bolt to the table (I like the way the original looked better).

E-mail me a mike(at)mcpii(dot)com if you are interested in "parting" these elements out.

    Mike,
I will keep that in mind if I can find a buyer for the machine that does not want 4th axis. If I don't sell mill, I don't want to sell any of the extras.

I am going to disagree with SWATH on what the machine is worth, as well... The price can't be even 50-75% of new. Why would someone buy used when they can get new with a warranty, etc., for not too much more? It's too risky of an investment in case something goes wrong (in my opinion).

Just some input from my point of view, but wanted to mention it in case your hopes were getting "high" on potential value...

    Mike,

Actually, I agree with you. I certainly would not reduce by 50%, but if someone wanted this machine and also would like to save several thousand dollars, maybe they would be interested. Who knows? It's an awesome "toy" to have around!

Mikini has a price list on their web site, though it is a little hard to find as I recall.

I usually figure that a like new (but used) machine tool or accessory will sell for 50-60% of new price unless one gets lucky and finds a local buyer that is in a hurry, has deep pockets, and availability of new from the manufacturer is a month or more.

You are probably correct. Based on the price list on the website, my machine new would be $17000. 60% of that would be $10,200. I would let it go for $11000.

Just to be fair, you have an older machine that may not have the same specs as the current model you are basing your price on. We don't know exactly which spindle system, any crashing issues, etc.

While 11k may be a good price to someone looking at it compared to the current price, I suspect that the price for the equipment you listed when purchased were a good bit less. At one time the machine was only 9k. Not the 12.5K they list now.

I certainly can't blame you for trying to get as much as possbile out of it though. If you can, please post up some photos and details of the machine. I might be interested at your price. Even the serial number would help

Just my .02 ( I am in the market to buy one of these or a Tormach, so I have been looking hard at the history and details of these mills.)
