    Default Which program to use

    Hi,

I am completely new in this area of expertise and have a question.

I have looked through different recommendations of which programs to use for creating a sketch and then creating the cutting path (again completely new at this so the terminology might be off). So far I have settled on either Sketchup or Fusion 360. Since I have no experience in either 3d modelling or Cam I guess I might as well earn it proper and go the deep route i.e. Fusion360.

My question is then, is this a good choice? Will it work with the MicroMill, should I start with a simpler tool and so on?

    Best Regards
Jan Svensson eagerly awaiting my MicroMill

I'd recommend Fusion 360 since there are lot of Youtube tutorials available (on how to use the program itself, not for use with the MicroMill - but the exported g-code works with Grbl Panel)

Thanks for the answer, I suspected as much and have started watching the tutorials on their site. It is really good to know that the g-code works with Grbl Panel! Thanks again

for a quick test I'd recommend Easel - see the sticky "first project" thread above!

Doh, it even mentions Fusion 360 in that thread. I should have read it one more time. Thanks again for your patience and help.
