taper attachment

Hi gentlemen and ladies, im new here so i thought id say hi and pose a small question. I have a 12x36 atlas lathe 3996, i got a taper attachment or at least part of one. Since i have not seen one in use im not sure of how it connects and if i have all of it. Does anyone have a detailed picture of one and or a picture of the parts ?

How to use a Lathe

The drag on the assembly must be minimal. Cutting can only be done in one direction to prevent gouging as spring and backlash is bound to exist. I have found it neccesary to start my feed, then bring the cutter into the material and then back out before power feed is dropped out or a gouge will result. With a little practice, you can make it work, but it can be a real pain if the attachment is not bind free, compounded by flex and slop from the clamp or rod on light duty lathes.
