sugestion on choosing lathe tool inserts

    guys ,
i have a small lahte that uses 1/2" toolholders.i bought some indexable tools that uses inserts DJCR 0702 and trying to cut interupted stainless steel i broke them all.
can someone please suggest a brand , grade or what else to look for?
i am not familiar with that kind of equipment and from my search i found so many information that i am lost...

i will need to cut : steel, stainless and aluminium.
    many times interupted.

is there an insert for the above or should i purchase inserts for each job?

    thanks for your help.

I rep Sumitomo and their AC830P is a very good grade for interupted SS and steel and H1 for Aluminum. If you have chipping problems in the aluminum switch to EH520Z. Call their tech support for help with chipbreakers and speeds and feeds. 800-950-5202
