Need Mentor in Houston Area.

I'm new to forum and just as new to CNC. I would like to hook up with a CNC mentor in the south Houston area. I am located in Kemah. I am a fairly good woodworker and would be willing to swap time.
I plan on building ( converting a Mill-Route Carving System) or buying a CNC machine before late fall. I would like to use it for sign making and carving furniture doors and whatever else I could think of.
