Toledo Ohio mentor wanted

Hi,

I am building a machine out of 80/20 and would like to find a mentor in the Toledo area. I am actually located south of Toledo outside of Walbridge Ohio. I have purchased pretty much everything I need to build a 3 axis with 4 stepper gantry machine but have not started to put anything together yet.

I would like a mentor that can:
a. help build, (i have ordered a bunch of Ahren's parts),
b. help on the electronics end,
c. help setting up Mach3,
d. hopefully can take me from part design to routed parts.

I will be running a kit from Probotix and for software I have:
Mach3
ProgeCad
Vectric Cut 2d
Vectric Cut 3d

My machine will be approximately 60" wide by 48" long, with a cut area of hopefully 49" by 36".

To get along you have to be a pretty mellow personality and hopefully a non-smoker. Smoking isn't a deal-breaker but its definitely not allowed in the house/pick up your butts. I'm not much of a drinker either but moderation is a-okay by me Days/early evenings/or weekends all work for me -- I'm a stay at home dad.

This would be a great opportunity for someone with an itch to build another machine and a lot of patience to teach me the cnc ropes.

Hi, I am in the Toledo area and could use some pointers on CNC/vertical mills.

I just joined this forum to get some Ideas on which mill to get and have the capability later of changing to CNC any suggestions would be welcome.
