Looking for a mentor in the Boulder, CO area

Hello,

I am pretty new, but learning fast. I am a Mech Eng. student at the university, and for an independent study I am designing/building a 3-axis CNC router for wood and foam to be installed in the ME machine shop.

I should be able to secure at least $5000 in grants to build a nice machine. Looking at 4' x 8' with a 24" Z.

If you cna help me build it, I'm sure you could have some access (though not production levels) to it as well.
