Looking For A Job- looking for an apprenticeship/mentor in Brisbane/Ipswich

hi im 16 and im looking for an in school apprenticeship as a fitter/turner in Brisbane/Ipswich. i have been offered a job and a "cert 2 course in engineering and something" by a man who sorts this stuff out but im not to keen on it as he pushed me to believe there was only one place to go that i latter found out was a place they just dump people in and theres no machines there for me. i had done work experience for Queensland Rail and they got me started in machining, they are a good place and i wanted to do the apprenticeship with them but bad for me there not taking any more apprentices on until latter next year.

if anyone can help me out then don't be afraid to pm me, ill post more on myself and what i have done latter but i have to go to school now
