Looking for a mentor in the atlanta area

Huy guy I am looking for a mentor in the Atlanta area to help me with my cnc machine. I have purchased the BOBCAD v21 software. I am new to the whole cnc .

Where are you located and what software do you use? Cause I would like to learn 5th axis programming.

Hello to all,
I'm new to CNC, Don't know how to program, Still playing with Qbasic and DOS,
Looking forward to learn from all of you. I've built the X and Y axis and working on the
Z it's not quite strong enough and not sure what motor to use, looking at a moto but not sure yet.
Have the control unit built and set up a PC Power supply. Next day or so depending on the weather I'll go for max smoke :-)

I am in north atlanta [buckhead] .my machine in Joe"s 2006 model built last year together with the hobbycnc 4axis kit. software is mach3 and sheetcam . Am new to this field and could use some help .The machine works but need help setting it up . regards mike hide

I have built a rockcliff cnc router, hobbycnc controller, have figured out meshcam for toolpath generation, now I am struggling with Mach3 mill. Can anyone help me with that? Is there a local cnc group? Thanks, Pico
