Located in Baton Rouge. Just wondering if there was anyone within 50 miles, (MS. or La.) that would consider letting me learn from them. I am a metal working nut with lots of experience, but none in CNC. Am seriously considering a plasma or laser table for my fast approaching retirement days. Maybe a hobby, maybe a little income. Hi Bobby, today is my first day on this site. I too will retire in a few yrs. I've got a computer background and little experience with metal. I do have a huge interest in CNC and am looking into maybe building an open source plasma table system. I've got plenty of space for one and would love to play around with one. Maybe we can share sources as we discover them. Let me know.

Sure, but I am 5 hrs from Dallas and Bobby would 7.5 hours. How far north in Texas?

Thought I'd say hi and thanks for the posts. JHurst, I have tons of metal experience and limited computer experience. I'm a mechanical nut and I love to fabricate.
