I know NOTHING about mach3 but like a couple other fellows on this forum I am looking for someone who could write a wizard which would allow me to create spiral turnings. I am willing to pay or trade for someones time. What i am looking for is something like this: the part to watch is a 3:45 in the video where Legacy has a wizard for turning spirals. I can trade 3D modeling that I can do or Laser scanning of objects for you. Or pay if reasonable. Or if you already have a wizard that can work thats ok too. If anyone is in the central virginia area who could tutor me also that would help. |

| I'll see what I can put together (g-code program) this weekend. Does anyone already have a machine with an "A-axis" running, to test the code? .

| OK, I wrote this program "SpiralGcode" to turn sprials. It assumes a few things: 1) Your running a 4-axis mill (A,B, or C are your options to pick for a rotary axis). 2) That you won't input anything other than a numerical value into any of the parameters textbox on the left. 3) You won't leave any texbox empty. 4) You won't enter a negative value as any parameters. 5) That you have the " Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 " installed on your PC before running this program. This program is run at your own risk, I don't have a machine setup to test the g-code that this program produces. .

| Switcher, I'm just a 30 year cnc programming vetran. Would you mind telling me a little more about the setup? 1. Where is X0 Y0 Z0 located? 2. What TOOL size/shape am I using here? Sorry I'm not a mind reader. |

| 1) Z0.0 = Center of the "A-axis" 2) X0.0 = Approx. 1" from the chuck, (length of part 12") 3) Y0.0 = Inline wth the "A-axis" 4) 1/2 Ball Nose (setup like the video in post #1 (frame5:30)) Try the file below, instead of the other file I sent you, same as the old file with a few edits. Thanks, .
