For the test file posted above, it starts Z out at (G90 G1 Z1.75 F75.0).

The G91 Z-0.25 is in incremental (G91), at that axis move.

    Part Rough O.D diam. = 3.0"

I hope the g-code runs good for you, I've added a few more options than the Legacy program has.

A suggestion, when you run the g-code for the first time, do a dry run, no bit in the spindle.

Also on the (Max Cutting Depth), whatever you input, that number is divided by 2, I kinda figured all cuts would be shallow, so If I input 0.50", it will write 2 passes at 0.25" deep.

The only simulation I've done was in my head, just go easy...

    Switcher,

Sorry, my mistake on the incremental Z moves. I will show you the Verifcation I ran on your code soon.

Thanks for helping, I appreciate it...

    ------------------------------------------------------------

I've already found 1 bug in my program, I've fixed it.

When I was testing the program, & running samples, I had a few things hard coded for an "A-axis" & forgot to change back to hook into the radio buttons to select the specific drive letter (A,B, or C).

The test code above should be good as far as that goes, when I ran the program for that code the default drive letter "A" was selected.

    Thanks,

    .

    Switcher,

Here is the Vericut CNC Verification of the Test1.txt code. I had to add the start up codes at the begining like the tool change, initial XY position, and the height offset. The helix angle is kinda steep but it looks like it will work if you change the angle.

    Ahhh... Awesome simulation!

I tried, & I tried, to talk my plant manager into getting Vericut, I had a salesman demo Vericut a couple of years ago for the 5-axis I run ( I never did get the program).

You did good on that video, I expected a simple screenshot.

The video really helped, beats running it thru your head about 20 times.

If you still have the edited g-code could you post it here?

    Thanks,

Here is the code that runs that simulation. To be honest, any cnc machine shop that does not use Vericut is extremely misinformed and losing money. I have never worked in a 5 axis shop that did not use Vericut. The software catches mistakes the programming systems do not. Am I biased towards Vericut? Of course I am, it makes me look brilliant.
